Savannah

Tyler and I went to Savannah, GA this past weekend for my high school friend's wedding. My grandparents are in town to watch the boys (THANK YOU soooo much!!!).

We left Thursday and went up to spend some time with the wedding party. This was the first time that I got to meet the groom!!! He was very nice and Shannon is totally in love- so what's not to love about him! They met when they were stationed in Afghanistan- imagine having to go half way around the world to meet your soul mate! We had a great time at their wedding weekend! Friday the girls had a tea party at the Savannah Tea Room (group picture to right). It was some much needed girl time. We had the rehearsal Friday night with dinner at Vic's on the River- Yum (picture of the happy couple below). Disappointingly, we were not able to go on the Hearse Ghost Tour because of lightening. So we ended up in a pub- so not what parents of two young kids usually do on a Friday night but it was a great break from our regular schedule (girls' picture). Saturday, I helped Shannon make sure she had everything ready and we got our hair done in the early afternoon. Kylie, the girl that did my hair, was able to actually get it all up!!! I couldn't believe it (I got most of it all cut off on Tuesday of last week- great, just before the bride wants you to have an updo for her wedding)! The wedding started at 6pm; it was lovely. We went back to our hotel for the reception. It was so much fun and great food! Shannon's cake was beautiful; and look at the grooms cake! Wow, too bad the game didn't turn out so pretty! We had a great time dance well into the night. Today, Todd and Shannon left for a week in Italy. Have a wonderful time guys! Linda, it was good to see you again- for nothing formal!
Here are the pictures from Shannon's engagement session. The photographer will post pics of the wedding eventually; I will share when they appear.
Today, we made our way back after we took a tour of the city and made a stop in Jacksonville to visit Tyler's grandmother. It was so good to be home and see our babies!!! Now I get to stay until Thursday and it is back to Orlando for the MOPS International Convention. I am so ready just to stay home for a while!!!
