Don't Try This At Home is hosting a Blog Carnival. As some of you might not know a Blog Carnival is where the owner of one blog decides on a topic and invites members of the ring to write on that topic. The owner then provides links to each of those sites that submit links. So our topic is a Holiday Shopping Carnival. Her instructions were to post at least 5 things that are fun, interesting, different, or unique that can be purchased or made for loved ones on our Holiday gift-giving lists. My love language is gifts so this is perfect subject for me! So here goes...
1. I think my most popular gift ever given was a Personalized Calendar from Snapfish that Allison and I made last year. It was such a hit with all of our family. And, yes, I have started on this year's.
2. This year I found these stamps at Expressionery.com. Plus, they were 40% off with free shipping! Sorry for those who will receive them!
3. I have ordered from The Vintage Pearl and I love her work. She has so many cute things available!
4. I know that the etiquette gurus would tell you not to, but I love gift certificates. I like to be able to pick out the store or restaurant, but letting the recipient picking out the actual gift. I do hate that the know EXACTLY how much you spent though.
5. Usually around the holidays, I bake up some yummy goodies and give them on a nice plate, platter, or bowl. Usually I find these at TJMaxx (usually the year before after Christmas on sale) Shhhh... don't tell.
6. This year I have also been introduced to Etsy.com. It is a very interesting website for homemade gifts. There are some really neat things on there.
I am sure that there are more that I have forgotten.
You can click on the image at the top of this page or go over to Don't Try This At Home to see other people's lists to give you some ideas too! I have already found this set of napkins...
I want one!
Please leave a comment on what your favorite gifts to give are! I need all the help I can get this year!
By the way, did you know that we only have 42 days left!!!
