Let me just preface this by saying that we don't do Santa with our boys. We tell them that St Nick was a real person that did lots of good, especially all of his giving, and go into more of the history of Santa. BUT every year we go to see this one Santa in downtown St Petersburg. He is very real looking and the kindest man. We have been going since Benjamin's first Christmas when he was 3 months old. Benjamin can't stand Santa, but we still go. Got to make those memories!!!
Tonight was our night to go see Santa. We had it all planned out. We had to go pick up my mom's car (it was in the shop for some light work) and then we were off to dinner with my in-laws. Our plan was after dinner then to see Santa, then Tyler could go get my mom from the airport (we would be halfway there anyways).
After dinner, I got the kids all ready to see Santa. We had been talking this up all afternoon (with Benjamin STILL saying- I really don't like that man!). We got them changed into their nice Christmas clothes and off we went. Only to find that Santa was only there on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (until the 23rd). Just my luck!
After such a big disappointment, we HAD to find something to do. Tyler knew of a place that had a big Christmas display, so off we went again! Wow! What we found was pretty cool place. There were more lights in one little bitty lot than I have EVER seen. This is what we found...
