A view while going down. The snow was really blowing all over the place. You can see part of the road here. Some was paved and the rest was like this.
Saturday we went to Garden of the Gods. It is a beautiful park of interesting rock formations. We stopped in the visitor's center to begin our trip. Inside was this buffalo. The kids got a kick out of climbing on it.
Upstairs at the center. We watched a little movie on the making of the rocks and then got our picture taken. Ben was not wanting his picture taken and Warren wanted to climb on the rock. Typical! You can see some of the rocks in the background as well as Pike's Peak.
Tyler's brother, Jeff, and his wife, Natalie, at the Balancing Rock.
Warren was dying to climb on the rocks. So we went up and climbed under the Balancing Rock. Because I was squatting, he needed to squat.
At lunch, Warren got sick. I had NO extra clothes. Luckily, Tyler's sister, Polly, had one outfit for her little girl, Reese. Unfortunately, it was pink and two sizes too small. I am not complaining! I just needed SOMETHING to put on him. As soon as we got that outfit on him, he was called a girl at least twice! It doesn't take much.
Later Saturday afternoon a group went to try to see Seven Falls. On the way, Tyler saw these deer in someone's yard. Not something we see everyday here in Florida.
Seven Falls was closed so they went to Cave of the Winds. Tyler was impressed.
This rounded out our wild and crazy vacation to Colorado. Warren is doing much better. I took him to the doctor yesterday. She said he just has a very bad stomach bug. It has been no fun around here. We are also terribly busy trying to move into the new house. I will post pics as soon as we get some furniture in there.
