Show Us Your Life: Our Guest Bedroom

Kelly (over at Kelly's Korner) hosts a link up party just about every Friday to show everyone different rooms in your house. I have wanted to participate, but our house has been a bomb zone lately with the move. BUT our guest bedroom is halfway decent to show! So here's my tour...

When you first walk into the room, you notice the bed...
Nannie bought this bed at an auction in MN for $4.50. Yep, that's right. And I am so glad she did. I just love it! We already had the mattress from Warren's full bed in FL and my parents were storing the frame in their storage unit. Perfect!
The rocking chair was hers also. We have had that refinished.
The desk is from Tyler's grandmother.

I want to put up drapes, but that is not on my priority list, yet. And there is no one to see in the window!
And I am having prints from Spain framed to put on the walls.

Mamaw bought the armoire a couple of years ago for me. It has been in her house until we had room to use it. I have always loved it, but didn't have room. Now we do!
The dresser drawers are from a local antique store. That was my first purchase with graduation money. It's followed me around for a few years!
Raggedy Ann was given to me when I was born. Nannie recently spruced her up a bit. And the rocking chair she is sitting on is from Mamaw's house.

This is a view looking back towards the door.

Nice big closets in here! All my scrapbooking and winter storage!

It has a bath attached to this room. The yellow on the ceiling was what the room was painting when we moved in! All the tiles are from Mexico. I love the copper sink!

My favorite part about this room is the sleeping porch off of it! Totally screened in and dirty- at this point. It is the only "room" we haven't cleaned yet!

And here's some really bad pictures of what it looked like before we moved in!
Here's the bathroom.

One of the closets and my sister.

And an out of focus one of where the bed is. Sorry!

And that's our guest room! Come stay a while!

Your guest room is great. The molding on the doors is fabulous and love the color combinations in the bathroom!

Your bathroom redo shows the power of paint! It looks really well done. I like how clean and airy your guest room looks!

It sleeps just as well as it looks :) I'll have to come back when you have the sleeping porch "cleaned" and after it gets warm at nights again. I'm glad I got to stay in your guest room and can't wait to come back :)
