Pesto Roasted Chicken

1 (6 1/2 to 7 pound) chicken (I used a turkey)
1 cup store bought pesto

Rub the pesto all over the chicken and under the skin. Cook @ 450 for 15 minutes, then reduce temp to 375 for about 75 minutes.

I had bought turkeys at Albertson's when they were 39 cents a pound!!! What a steal! With company coming over, I decided to finally cook a turkey. I wanted something different so I found this recipe in my sister's The Junior League at Home cookbook. I did the pesto part then we put the turkey on our grill's rotisserie. I wasn't sure that it was going to work- but it came out great!
